Netley Sailing Club is a thriving, family club, based within the idyllic grounds of the Royal Victoria Country Park on Southampton Water. To sail to the club involves passing the entrance to the River Hamble which is often very busy. The north shore approaching the Hamble is shallow and there is a large spit that extends out from Hamble Point to the west fo the Hamble.
